![]() | Dustin T Serviss - Kelowna BCBorn in Vernon BC, Dustin grew up following his father throughout North America traveling to business conventions and real estate conferences. Dustin attributes a large portion of his business instincts to this past exposure. Dustin's mother has instilled the need for work/life balance, the drive to always challenge ones self and to never stop learning.
After completing a diploma in Civil Engineering, Dustin discovered his love for investing money and real estate investing. He often found himself being asked by his peers about how the market worked and while working in the Alberta oil field, he began regularly attending financial planning courses at Mt Royal College, Calgary, AB. Three years later he returned to Kelowna and started his financial advising career with a national career agency. While expanding his own real estate and business portfolio it became apparent he was a natural fit to assist business owners and entrepreneurs. This interest connected him with Brent Peacock and Grant Sheridan of the Peacock Sheridan Group.
Since joining The Peacock Sheridan Group in September 2006 he has continually demonstrated his commitment to the success of his clients. The transition has allowed him to fully implement his experience, education and pursuit to excellence in working with business people. Currently, Dustin holds his Registered Health Underwriter (RHU) designation and a Life License in British Columbia and Alberta. He has currently completed all the education requirements of the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation and will be writing the final exam in June 2010. He lives in Kelowna and spends a large portion of his time with his spouse Jody. His insurance practice operates both in the Okanagan Valley and Calgary. Following in the footsteps of other successful entrepreneurs, he balances work and life by helping teach Entrepreneurship 12 at Kelowna Secondary School, volunteering with a number of charitable organizations, reading and touring the back country on his snowboard or ATV. | |||
